Pricing is for services rendered from Dr. Carol King and Sea of Light Wellness and Acupuncture, only.
Please refer to individual websites for pricing from other practitioners associated with the Pasadena healing community.
INSURANCE:
Insurance is not accepted at this time, however superbills can be provided upon request for submission for reimbursement for services rendered.
Dr. Carol D. King and Sea of Light Wellness and Acupuncture, Inc. functions as an Out-of-Network provider.
Please refer to your individual insurance plan to find out if your insurance will cover specific services such as acupuncture or craniosacral therapy or functional medicine testing.
**please note: it is the patient's responsibility to submit all forms and handle communications with insurance companies.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
48 Hour Cancellation policy - for cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment, half of the cost of the session is applied, for cancellations within 24 hours or less of the appointment (including no shows) the full cost of the appointment is applied for the time you have reserved
New Patients
For all new patients, whether for acupuncture, craniosacral, functional medicine, IVF transfer, etc., a 30 minute New Patient consult is required via Telehealth online to establish a cohesive treatment plan.
Following the New Patient visit, a detailed email with assessment and recommendations will follow in 24-48 hours to give you helpful guidance to best navigate your health concerns.
Detailed medical history forms are required for review, and pertinent labs can be submitted via email to: seaoflightwellness@gmail.com for review prior to the first appointment.

Acupuncture
First time and follow up acupuncture sessions are generally 60 minutes long and typically include a 10 minute health review, TCM tongue and pulse diagnosis, blood pressure reading, supplement and med review, needle insertion and 20-45 minute time on the table to relax and rebalance the nervous system as the needles perform their "magic" by moving blood and Qi through the body.
1 Near or Far Infrared heat lamp application is included in the session.

Testing
Functional Medicine testing involves comprehensive review of current symptoms, medical history and lab data, formulating treatments through herbal formulations and/or supplements as well as dietary and lifestyle recommendations.
Functional Medicine appointments are Telehealth visits conducted online through the HIPAA-compliant Lifesize app, which is provided in the appointment confirmation email.
Following all visits, the patient will receive a detailed email review within 48 hours of the visit with recommendations, possible prescriptions via Fullscript or through the office in person or via USPS mail.
Patients do not need to be residents of California to be seen for Functional Medicine appointments.

Craniosacral Therapy

Chinese Herbal Therapy
Chinese Herbal Formulas play a vital role in traditional Chinese medicine, complementing acupuncture treatments. They are designed to restore balance and harmony within the body, addressing various health concerns such as stress, digestive issues, and immune support.
Each formula is carefully crafted using natural ingredients, tailored to individual needs to promote healing and overall wellness. By integrating these remedies with acupuncture, patients can enhance their treatment outcomes and achieve optimal health.
Herbal Therapies are prescribed based on Oriental Medical pattern, tongue and pulse diagnoses, which make in-person formulations most effective. However, in some circumstances, telehealth visits can be utilized as well.
Custom made formulas can be in the form of tincture, granular teas or raw herbs for decoctions.
Encapsulation of granules is available for an additional $15/100 capsules
Pricing for formulas varies based on herbs used and types of formulations
Typical pricing are generally within the following ranges:

Facial Acupuncture
Facial acupuncture restores health and vitality in the face and neck, promoting waste elimination, reducing puffiness and swelling, restoring circulation of clean blood to deliver nutrients to the facial skin and promote collagen and elastin production.
Treatments begin with lymphatic drainage massage, facial guasha, followed by needle insertion of up to 100 fine needles placed in strategic points along the body to promote circulation as well as transdermally in the face and/or neck and areas as discussed by you and the practitioner.
You are given time to rest for 25 minutes as the needles work their magic, with the option for Celluma LED light therapy to be added to your treatment to enhance results at no additional charge.
It is recommended to stay out of the sun for 48 hours following facial acupuncture treatments. Redness is common immediately following your treatment.
For best results, 6 weekly sessions over the course of 6 weeks is recommended.

Microneedling
Microneedling is a popular NoTox alternative to Botox, where natural apple stem cell serum is used to enhance collagen and elastin production to restore elasticity and vitality to facial skin.
Treatments begin with lymphatic drainage massage, facial guasha, followed by numbing cream application, insertion of needles in the body to enhance the treatment, microneedling session, followed by facial mask and Celluma LED light therapy to enhance results and reduce redness.
It is recommended to stay out of the sun for 48-72 hours following microneedling treatments. Redness is common immediately after treatment.
